Form Studio began with a precedent study project, and the most unique part of the assignment was the introduction of various ways to diagram a work of architecture. The techniques were based on those presented in NCSU professor Roger Clark’s book Precedents in Architecture. Breaking down the work through analysis revealed how the architects layered a complex system into a simple whole.
